From my mother's sleep I fell into the State,
And I hunched in its belly till my wet fur froze.
Six miles from earth, loosed from its dream of life,
I woke to black flak and the nightmare fighters.
When I died they washed me out of the turret with a hose.

I ended up adding a lot more to this than I originally intended orz
Some fanart of Badgerfang from the Warriors series. Something abut this poem made me think about how he went straight out of the nursery and into battle.
The cat in the baxkground is meant to be Brokenstar, this does bear mentioning with the staggering amount of evil dark brown tabbies in this series....lmao. It's really a shame we never learned more about him though, he just kind of ended up as a footnote to Scourge.
Poor Badgerfang though, only 4 months old. I did tweak his design some because....well....that's not how white spotting works Erins!
